Setting up your temperature
** Always make sure your chiller is connected to a water flow before turning it on. **
Button Chart: Blue Power Button: Turn your chiller On / Off
Arrow Up: Move the temperature target up
Arrow Down: Move the temperature target down
Set: Set your temperature
How to set your temperature
- Turn on your chiller with the ‘Blue Power Button’
- Press on ‘Set’ once
- Press the Up / Down Arrows to navigate to your desired temperature.
- Press the ‘Set’ button to exit the setting mode.
- If it’s the first time that you are setting the temperature or if you’ve unplugged your chiller, the Green Snowflake symbol will be flashing, that means the chiller hasn’t started to cool the water yet.
- To start the cooling process, long press the Up Arrow for 6 seconds. The Green Snowflake will stop flashing and the chiller will now activate itself to cool down the water to the desired temperature.
- If you wish to increase the water temperature, repeat steps 2 to 4 with a new temperature target. The chiller will stop cooling the water and let its temperature rise to the desired level naturally. The built-in thermostat will ensure the cooling system kicks in only when needed.
- Press the Blue Power Button when you wish to turn off your chiller.
Other Temperature settings :
E3 : Dead temperature
For example, if the dead temperature of the chiller is set at 2 and the temperature is set at 10 degrees, it will stop cooling when the water temperature reaches 10 degrees and start again cooling once the water temperature is above 12 degrees.
If the dead temperature is set at 1 while the temperature is set to 10 degrees, the chiller will start cooling again when the water temperature reaches 11 degrees.
Press the "SET" button until you see E3, then use the arrows ‘’up’’ and ‘’down’’ to edit the dead temperature setting.
E5 : Temperature Calibration
This is the calibration setting. If you notice that the chiller temperature is different than the temperature in the bath, simply press on the "SET" button until is displays E5. Any other setting will not calibrate the temperature.
When the chiller is on E5 mode, it will be possible to calibrate the thermometer to reflect the proper data. (with the arrows ‘’up’’ and ‘’down’’). This number will indicate the adjustment done to the thermometer.
Here's how to properly calibrate the chiller’s thermometer to be equivalent to your external thermometer :
- Water flowing is warmer than displayed:
If the thermometer in the bath displays 45 F and the chiller displays 39 F, you will need to set up the calibration by +6 F to tell the chiller it is 6 degrees to warm.
Example : If the current E5 setting is at (-3), the accurate calibration should bring the number to (+3), which equals to a variation of +6 degrees. - Water flowing is cooler than displayed:
If the thermometer in the bath displays 39 F and the chiller displays 45 F, you will need to set up the calibration by -6 F to tell the chiller it is 6 degrees too cold.
Example : If the current E5 setting is at (+3), the accurate calibration should bring the number to (-3), which equals to a variation of -6 degrees.
*Never attempt to calibrate the temperature below 3 degrees Celsius, as this will damage your chiller.*
E6 : How to change the temperature in Fahrenheit or Celsius
Press the "SET" button until you see E6, then use the arrows ‘’up’’ and ‘’down’’ to change the measure to your preference.
Standby usage recommendations
− If you use your bath daily or frequently, it is recommended to keep the product running at all times. Cooling down the water from an ambient temperature level requires more energy than keeping it at a lower temperature.
− If you use your bath 2-3 times a week, you may opt to start the product 1–4 hours before your bath plunge and let the product cool the water to the desired temperature, and turn it off afterwards. Only turning it on when you need it will probably lead to a smaller energy consumption.
− For reference, the product cools the water by about 5 °C in 1 hour.
